A TV series whose main target is Donald Trump just picked up an order for an additional seven episodes. Showtime announced that the new installments of “Our Cartoon President” will run this summer.

The last of the show’s initial 10-episode run is due up Sunday, April 8.

The pay-cable service also released a new clip examining Trump’s “March Madness” bracket while also mocking Ted Cruz.

“Executive produced by multiple Emmy winner Stephen Colbert, showrunner R.J. Fried and ‘Late Show’ executive producer Chris Licht, ‘Our Cartoon President’ follows the tru-ish misadventures of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, and his merry band of advisors and family members,” Showtime says in today’s announcement. “The first season has already introduced audiences to Trump’s attempts at ‘winning’ the State of the Union address, comforting disaster victims and rolling back President Obama’s accomplishments, as well as his co-dependent relationship with the media. The series premiere in February drew 2.3 million subscribers and the show is averaging two million viewers per week.”

  1. It’s a good thing the Republicans didn’t think of this while Obama was in office. Of course if they had, we’d have called them RACIST.
