The ABC Owned Television Stations Group has filled the newly created position of senior vice president, Content Development, naming Jennifer Mitchell to the post. The appointment was announced today by Wendy McMahon, president, ABC Owned Television Stations Group, to whom she will report.
Mitchell has been vice president of Digital Content for the station group. In her new position, she will be responsible for creating, leading and executing multiplatform content vision and strategies across the ABC Owned Television Stations Group’s eight local brands and businesses.
“Jennifer has a wealth of expertise creating and publishing content that enriches the overall audience experience while generating revenue growth,” McMahon said. “She’s consistently done an extraordinary job, using all available and emerging capabilities, to optimize our eight local brands and businesses across platforms. I know that in this new role she will apply those same great skills and play an integral part in propelling OTV to new heights.”

Mitchell has been with the station group for almost 19 years.
