“Food Network’s ‘Chopped’ has added a familiar face from the intersection of cuisine and television,” reports the New York Post’s Page Six, adding, “Martha Stewart has signed as a recurring guest judge on the venerable series, whose 38th cycle launches next month.”

The story adds that Stewart’s first appearance on the show will be June 5th.

The Post story also quotes Courtney White, the executive vice president of programming at Food Network and HGTV: “As a lifestyle expert and bestselling author with millions of devoted followers and fans, Martha Stewart’s name is synonymous with perfection. Having Martha’s expertise within the newest season of ‘Chopped’ further reinforces why the series has long been one of the toughest culinary competitions on television.”

Stewart has starred in and been on a number of TV shows, most notably “Martha Stewart Living” and “The Martha Stewart Show.” Last year Stewart and Snoop Dog appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for T-Mobile, and Stewart starred in one for Jack-in-the-Box during this year’s big game. Stewart also famously spent about 5 months in federal prison in 2004-2005 after she was convicted on charges surrounding her selling of stock.
