The TNT drama series “Animal Kingdom” is closing in on the premiere of its third season, and if a new trailer released today is any indication, things are about to get even more intense on the show.

Season three of the series, described by TNT as a “bold, adrenaline-fueled hit drama,” premieres Tuesday, May 29, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).

The show stars Ellen Barkin as the matriarch of the Cody crime family, along with Scott Speedman, Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole, Molly Gordon and Carolina Guerra. Denis Leary joins the cast this season as Billy, Deran’s (Weary) drifter dad, who returns to make amends, but may just make matters worse.
