Fox announced its prime-time schedule for fall, with the revived “Last Man Standing” set to lead off Fox’s Friday night lineup following its cancellation by ABC. The new comedy “The Cool Kids” will lead out from the Tim Allen sitcom.

Another new comedy, “Rel,” lands the 9:30 time slot on Sunday nights.

NFL football will take over Fox’s Thursday nights.

Fox also has the new dramas “The Passage” and “Proven Innocent” waiting in the wings for midseason, with the live musical production “Rent” coming in January and a new limited series, “Cosmos: Possible Worlds,” hosted by Neil de Grasse Tyson, set for spring.

  1. Let me get this right… Fox cancels Lucifer (perhaps the funniest, most thought-provoking show on tv) and leaves all of Lucifer’s Fox viewers hanging, yet for some unfathomable reason still manages to renew Lethal Weapon… after firing one of that show’s two main actors?

    Really?

I guess Fox really doesn’t know how to do fantasy.

  2. Fox drops Brooklyn 99 and NBC picks it up. Then ABC drops Last Man Standing and Fox picks it up. I guess these networks don’t know how to do comedy?
