NBC Renews Drama Series

NBC has renewed one of its drama series, with The Futon Critic reporting that a network spokesperson confirmed the pickup for “Blindspot.”

The Friday night drama starring Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson and Luke Mitchell will return for a fourth season.

The show is produced by Warner Bros. Television, Berlanti Productions and Quinn’s House. Creator and writer Martin Gero (“Bored to Death,” “L.A. Complex”) executive produces along with Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Flash” “Legends of Tomorrow”) and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “The Flash” “Legends of Tomorrow”).

“This season, ‘Blindspot’ has been generating a 1.2 rating in 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers overall in L+7 Nielsen ratings, to improve the Friday 8 p.m. timeslot by +9% versus NBC’s year-earlier results in 18-49,” The Futon Critic reports. “‘Blindspot’ has added substantial viewership via time-shifting, increasing by +94% in 18-49 rating going from ‘live plus same day’ Nielsens to ‘live plus seven day.'”
