A commentator on the Fox News Channel who was also a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for The Washington Post has died. NPR reports that Charles Krauthammer died of cancer. He was 68.

“A Harvard-trained psychiatrist, Krauthammer turned an unsparing eye on the nation’s politics, moving rightward over time,” NPR reports. “Krauthammer retained the capacity to discern the human element of political issues. He was a steadfast critic of the president despite the high regard in which many Fox viewers hold Trump.”

Krauthammer penned a farewell column earlier this month, as we reported previously. He announced in the column that he had only weeks to live and said he had “no regrets,” adding: “I leave with the knowledge that I lived the life that I intended.”

Here’s a clip of Krauthammer commenting on the 2016 presidential primaries, posted by Fox News Channel.
