A number of top executives are headed out the door and new ones are being brought in at Hulu, which today announced a sweeping reorganization that will impact acquisitions, advertising, business, content, distribution, product and technology.

Chief Content Officer Joel Stillerman, who started at the company a year ago, is among the casualties, with the company eliminating the position and restructuring the content side around content partnerships and original programming.

The moves come on the watch of recently appointed CEO Randy Freer.

Dan Phillips, who has been a key player at TiVo, joins the company as CTO, tasked with aligning Hulu’s tech and product strategy. Phillips begins his new job June 4.

Also coming aboard is Jaya Kolhatkar of Walmart Labs, who assumes the newly created role of chief data officer starting July 2.

Two other senior Hulu executives who will be leaving the company are Tim Connolly, senior VP, partnerships and distribution, and Ben Smith, senior VP, experience.

Hulu released a detailed announcement explaining the changes, which you can read in full by clicking here.
