The former co-president of the Fox News Channel is officially joining the Trump administration, with news today that, as expected, former FNC co-President Bill Shine will become deputy chief of staff for communications.
The AP quotes the White House saying Shine “brings over two decades of television programming, communications, and management experience to the role.”
The report adds: “His hiring comes as Trump is increasingly putting his stamp on the West Wing, as aides with more traditional experience leave the administration. Friday marks the last day for Joe Hagin, the veteran deputy chief of staff for operations.”
Shine has reportedly been seen at the White House since Monday.
We reported last week that Shine was expected to take the post.
