Jason Bateman entered into a multiyear overall deal to create film and television content for Netflix through his production banner Aggregate.
Bateman has had a long relationship with Netflix, where he currently is a director, executive producer and star of the original drama series “Ozark.”
“Bateman has partnered with well-respected, veteran producer and executive Michael Costigan (‘American Gangster,’ ‘A Bigger Splash,’ ‘Out of the Furnace,’ ‘Ghost in the Shell’) to form a new, shared vision under the Aggregate name,” Netflix said in announcing the deal. “Bateman and Costigan will combine their respective film and television slates, and also work closely together to develop and produce future projects that draw on both emerging talent and their deep bench of filmmaker and actor relationships.”
Netflix boss Ted Sarandos added: “I am excited to continue our long relationship with Jason and watch him excel not only as a talented actor and filmmaker, but also as a producer. We are looking to Aggregate as a major supplier for us here at Netflix.”
