NBC is putting together an Emmy winner and a Tony winner to direct its upcoming musical production “Hair Live!” The network announced today that Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and Emmy Award winner Alex Rudzinski will direct the production.

The show is set for broadcast on Sunday, May 19, 2019, before a live audience.

The production follows NBC’s “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert,” which received 13 Emmy nominations.

Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who have executive produced each of NBC’s live musicals since “The Sound of Music Live!,” will executive produce the telecast. Rudzinski will also executive produce.
