Jul 30, 2018  •  Post A Comment

With CBS Corp. Chairman, President and CEO Leslie Moonves under pressure following the publication of a bombshell report by The New Yorker alleging sexual misconduct, a new report today by Variety examines six possible replacements for Moonves.

The veteran executive remains in place for now, after the CBS Board of Directors met today to discuss his fate. As we reported previously, the board set the wheels in motion for an investigation into the allegations against Moonves, but took no further action.

It has been reported that Moonves is considering stepping aside from his duties at CBS while his situation is investigated.

The Variety report weighs the prospects that Moonves could be replaced by one of six industry veterans, examining the pros and cons of each one. On Variety’s list are Richard Parsons, Dana Walden, Nancy Tellem, Jeff Bewkes, Nina Tassler and Bob Bakish.

We encourage readers to click on the link above to Variety to read the analysis of how each executive stacks up as a possible replacement.

  1. Harvey Weinstein could replace him.
    Oh no, that won’t work.

  2. NO one can replace Les for HE is CBS. There is no way that anyone else could have done what Mr. Moonves accomplished. But as I have always said, “Everyone is replaceable. Some are more difficult than others to replace.” In this instance however, I do not know who could fill his large shoes.

I am not condoning any of the alleged behavior, but I am very disappointed. Hopefully, people will start speaking out on abuse and employer’s illegal business practices as they are happening.

Les appears to have been a bit of a codger. What a way to go down. No pun intended…LOL!
