A new series that has already established itself as a global cultural phenomenon will be finding its way to CBS after the company announced plans to bring the international reality hit “Love Island” to U.S. television.

CBS obtained the U.S. rights to the format from ITV Studios and Motion Content Group, with the new series to be produced by ITV Entertainment.

Sharon Vuong, Senior Vice President of Alternative Programming for CBS, announced the deal.

The CBS announcement notes that the U.K. show’s season four finale aired last week to a record overnight audience, ranking as the most-watched program ever on the U.K.’s ITV2 network, with almost half of all adult viewers under 34 tuning in throughout the series.
