A series rolling out next month could be of interest both to kids and to their parents. “Pete the Cat,” which premieres Sept. 21 on Amazon Prime Video, stars Jacob Tremblay, Elvis Costello and Diana Krall, and includes original music from Costello and Krall.

Based on a series of best-selling children’s books, the animated show is described by Amazon as “a fun, musically driven series about exploring your world and trying new things, while being smart, accepting, and optimistic.”
