Aug 29, 2018  •  Post A Comment

Today would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday, and in honor of the occasion the singer’s estate and IMAX announced they’re partnering to digitally remaster “Michael Jackson’s Thriller 3D” into IMAX 3D.

The AP reports that the project will be released in IMAX theaters across the country for one week, starting Sept. 21.

The report quotes the estate’s co-executors saying Jackson loved to give his fans the “latest and greatest in technology and entertainment experiences.”

“The short film, directed by John Landis, premiered in Los Angeles in 1983. The 3D version was first shown at the 74th Venice Film Festival in 2017,” the AP notes.

  1. Good to see a legend being treated well, I guess this concept of 3D treatment should be made more for all the legends if some kind of documentary or film is being in line this can help get the recognition to the artist which is highly needed, I know a team who does that which does 3d logo animation services work, https://logocorps.com/3d-logo-animation are the ones who can chip in and help you.
