A new talk show is in the works at NBC, which is shooting a pilot for a series featuring pop superstar Kelly Clarkson, B&C reports. The series will potentially be shopped for a premiere in fall 2019, the story reports, citing sources close to the company.
The pilot for the daytime show is expected to be shot within the next few weeks, according to media reports.
“Clarkson has a talent deal with NBC Entertainment, which now oversees NBCUniversal Television Distribution, including all first-run development for TV stations,” B&C reports. “That said, the show could potentially be offered to TV stations in syndication or it could air on another platform or in combination.”
Clarkson, who became one of pop music’s biggest stars after winning the first season of “American Idol” back in 2002, has been appearing this year on NBC’s “The Voice,” where she is scheduled to be back in action this fall. She also recently hosted the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on NBC.
