Trump Urges Supporters to Go After ESPN

Aug 22, 2018  •  Post A Comment

Donald Trump is calling on his supporters to direct their anger at ESPN in response to the sports channel’s decision not to play the national anthem before games on “Monday Night Football.”

“In a fundraising letter sent out Wednesday by the Trump 2020 reelection committee, the President centered his ire on the Disney-owned sports outlet and what he called its ‘spineless surrender to the politically correct liberal mob,'” Dominic Patten writes on Deadline.

The letter from Trump also reportedly says: “If ‘America’ is too offensive for anyone in our country, then what are they doing in America?”

Patten notes that Trump also discussed ESPN and the NFL during a rally Tuesday night in West Virginia. Patten quotes Trump telling his cheering supporters at the rally: “You’re proud of our country, you’re proud of our history, and unlike the NFL, you always honor and cherish our great American flag. It was just announced by ESPN that rather than defending our anthem, our beautiful, beautiful national anthem and defending our flag, they’ve decided that they just won’t broadcast when they play the national anthem. We don’t like that.”

  1. its time fer all SANE PEOPLE to boycott and oust this piece of CROOKED CRAP infesting the White House … Please … no matter who you are … lets bring back our integrity to the country away from the PETTY PREZ who can tell the truth if his life depended upon it …

  2. The CROOKED CRAP left the White House already.

    January 20, 2017.

But you can keep your delusions if you like your delusions. You can keep your lack of critical thinking of you like being a mewing sheep.

    • Wow, yeah since January 20th 2017, what do we have? 3 plea agreements, one conviction on 8 counts with 10 more over his head and a new state trial starting next week. Critical thinking? Don’t make me laugh, bud.

  3. Always with the divide and conquer strategy. It’s worked in the past. Why not keep using it?

ESPN has not been televising the anthem during their games. And yet, Trump’s fundraising plea states that ESPN has decided “to no longer” televise anthem during games. Many networks use this time for commercial breaks or sports analysis. This wasn’t an issue until Trump decided he could win political points and bucks by pushing a lie.

  4. President Obama was the best President this country has had in a long time. Trump, compared to President Obama, comes across as a bad actor in an Ed Wood movie. Trumps attempts to fracture this country into racial, sexual and political avenues, while partially successful for his slobbering followers, will do nothing except further speed up his downfall.

  5. President Trump is the best President that this country has had in a while. Rolling back regulations and promoting both job and economic growth. I do not care about what he did BEFORE he was VOTED as president.

The NFL players that protest are disrespectful and I liken this to black on black crime: Killing the fun. They are driving people away with their so-called “message” and look like a group of ungrateful thugs like the ones who “spray” neighborhoods in Chicago.

  6. I think you mean “elected” and he lost by around 2 million points. What has rolling back all those “regulations” done for you personally? Nothing. No, that’s not true. It has allowed Trump’s rich friends to make more money because they no loner have to worry about things like dumping toxic waste into waterways. Remember when the river un Cleveland CAUGHT FIRE? You’ll notice that hasn’t happened lately and it’s because of those pesky regulations you think are so obtrusive to your everyday life because Orange Mussolini told you so.
Look, whatever. Believe what insanity you want until you die. It’s your right. It’s my right to call Herr Trump a malignant hemorrhoid on the ass of our Great Nation.
And to clarify, I’m not comparing Trump to Hitler. Hitler’s a frigging rocket scientist compared to Trump. No, in light of this week’s anonymous op-ed, he’s more of a really, really BAD version of Colonel Klink.
