Woody Allen’s Next Movie Has Reportedly Been Shelved

The latest Woody Allen movie, which finished filming last fall, may never see the light of day after being shelved by Amazon, The New York Post’s Page Six reports. The report suggests the project could become a casualty of the #MeToo movement.

The movie, “A Rainy Day in New York,” stars Timothee Chalamet, Selena Gomez, Jude Law and Elle Fanning. The report notes that the movie wrapped “before the #MeToo movement refocused attention on the allegations of sexual abuse Allen’s adopted daughter Dylan Farrow has made against him.”

The film had been slated for release this year, but The Post reports that Amazon now says: “No release date has ever been set for the film.”

The Post adds: “Amazon is so desperate for content for its streaming service, it is in talks with Paramount and Sony about developing original movies. But it has shelved a finished film that it already bought for $25 million.”

As we reported earlier this week, Allen has a deal for three more movies with Amazon. But The Post reports that the rest of the deal “seems to be in limbo as well.”

  1. It has been proved through investigation that the Farrow cabal is lying about Allen from Day 1. It is time for this lynch-mob mentality to stop. Amazon has no guts or class to cave in to this nonsense. If Woody starts a Go Fund Me to make this film, I’ll contribute. Maybe at some point America will start to remember the Constitution and Innocent until Proven Guilty.

  2. How do we make the Go Fund Me (so to speak) happen? I would gladly contribute to both see his latest work, and defy the which hunting lust of the social justice warriors.
