A producer and director behind one of the most acclaimed TV series in recent years has just signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios.

Amazon announced the new deal today with Reed Morano, who made history by being the first woman to ever win the Emmy and DGA Award in the same year for a dramatic series — both for her work on “The Handmaid’s Tale.” She also became the first woman to win an Emmy for directing a drama series in 22 years.

Under the new deal, Morano will create original television series exclusively for Amazon Prime Video.
