One of the most popular shows on broadcast television is adding a companion series that will run on digital platforms. NBC announced plans today for the “Comeback Stage” series as a companion to its hit competition series “The Voice.”

The series will feature hit country artist and Grammy Award nominee Kelsea Ballerini as the fifth coach. Ballerini will pair six Comeback Artists into three Battle Pairings, coaching each artist on an individual song.

The Comeback Artists will be selected from among those competitors who did not make a team during blind auditions.

The 10-episode series will run on YouTube, The Voice Official App, Instagram TV, Facebook and NBC.com starting Monday, Sept. 24.

“The Voice,” with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, also returns Monday, Sept. 24, on NBC.
