NBC announced that it will be expanding its original episode order for the comedy series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” The show originally had a 13-episode order for season six, but that has now been expanded to 18 episodes.

The Andy Samberg cop comedy, which was acquired by NBC in May just after the show was canceled by Fox, will premiere midseason on NBC.

Along with “SNL” alum Samberg, the sitcom stars Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti and Andre Braugher. Executive producers are Michael Schur, Dan Goor, David Miner and Luke Del Tredici.

The series is produced by Universal Television, Fremulon, Dr. Goor Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.
