O.J. Simpson Offers Prison Warning for Bill Cosby

O.J. Simpson, who spent nine years behind bars, is concerned that Bill Cosby will be attacked by some “nut” while he’s serving his time in prison, TMZ reports. Cosby began serving a three- to 10-year term for aggravated indecent assault this week in Pennsylvania.

Simpson, who served his time in Nevada for kidnapping and armed robbery, “warns that people like Cosby — convicted sex offenders — don’t do well behind bars,” TMZ reports.

The report quotes Simpson saying Wednesday while playing golf in Nevada: “The problem is the nature of the crime. … Rapists are frowned upon in prison.”

The onetime football hero added: “I’m sure there will be guys protecting him but they’re gonna have to put him in protective custody … because it takes one nut, ya know?”

Simpson appeared to suggest Cosby’s sentence is too stiff.

“With his health and his age and the nature of the crime, there’s not a warden in this country wants the responsibility of a Bill Cosby,” Simpson is quoted saying. “I think they should let him do his time under house arrest.”

  1. From one criminal to another: “‘It’ ain’t right.”

  2. Cosby is lucky that he can rely on the statutes of limitations. He should be in prison the rest of his life for what he did. Whining about health is no excuse. He should get the same medical treatment as any other prisoner. One of the reasons he is going to prison is he thought he was better than anyone else and could do whatever he wanted, to anyone he wanted.
