One of the stars of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” which was recently revived by NBC after being canceled by Fox, is leaving the comedy series. Chelsea Peretti took to social media to break the news.

Peretti, who plays Gina Linetti on the cop comedy, announced on Twitter that she won’t be staying with the show for a full sixth season.

Peretti wrote on Twitter: “B99 fans. Hiiiiiiiiiiii. Chelsea Peretti, here. I won’t be doing a full season of Brooklyn Nine Nine in Season 6. But that doesn’t mean I won’t ever be back, winky face emoji, heart emoji. I want to thank you for the hours you spent watching Gina be Gina.”

The show was canceled by Fox back in May after five season on the network. NBC picked it up for a sixth season that was originally to consist of 13 episodes, then extended the season to 18 episodes. The sitcom is due to premiere midseason on NBC.
