CBS just took the wraps off plans for the 73rd Annual Tony Awards, which the network will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

The nominations will be announced Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

CBS has been broadcasting the Tonys, honoring theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, since 1978. The Tony Awards were first held on April 6, 1947, at the Waldorf Astoria’s Grand Ballroom.

The ceremony is presented by Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, which founded the Tonys.

Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment will return as executive producers. Weiss will also serve as director for the 19th consecutive year.

  1. Good. Keep idiot DeNiro away as well as highly political speeches and activist’s propaganda away and watch as ratings increase. But this would take both common-sense and an astute business sense to execute.

  2. …. says the Trumper who wants the entire world white-washed. Never going to happen.
    Don’t boo….. Vote!
