Showtime has landed another big name for its eight-episode limited-series about Roger Ailes. Two-time Oscar nominee “Naomi Watts has signed on to play former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson,” reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The story adds that Watts “will star opposite Russell Crowe, who is playing Ailes, the founder of Fox News.”

The piece also explains that “In July 2016, Carlson sued Ailes, claiming she was fired at Fox News after turning away Ailes’ sexual advances. A number of other claims soon surfaced, leading to Ailes resigning in July 2016. Carlson and Ailes settled the lawsuit in September of that year.”

Watts was nominated for a leading actress Academy Award in “21 Grams” (2003) and “The Impossible”(2012).
