Daily Talk Show Shifts to Weekly, Finds a New Home

A talk show that ran daily for two years has landed at a new network and will convert to a weekly program. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that “Desus & Mero” will launch on Showtime in February.

The show spent two years on Viceland, before Desus Nice and The Kid Mero exited the outlet in June. The show will retain its “Desus & Mero” name, and will run on Showtime on Thursday nights at 11 p.m. ET/PT, starting Feb. 21.

The program will mark the premium cable outlet’s first weekly late-night talk show.

“Desus and Mero achieved internet fame in 2013 with their ‘Bodega Boys’ podcast and web series ‘Desus vs. Mero.'” THR notes. “They parlayed that into roles on ‘The Guy Code’ and MTV and then their Viceland series. They continue to host the podcast.”
