Drama Series Canceled

The cancellation ax has fallen on a broadcast drama series. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that ABC pulled the plug on “Take Two” after one season in the network’s summer lineup.

The procedural from “Castle” creators Andrew Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller starred Rachel Bilson and Eddie Cibrian.

The report notes that a couple of streaming outlets have shown an interest in keeping the series going.

“News of ABC’s decision to cancel the series comes two months after ‘Take Two’ wrapped its 13-episode run,” THR reports. “The drama, picked up straight to series with Bilson and Cibrian attached, averaged a lackluster 2.71 million total viewers and 0.4 in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic. Delayed viewing did little to help boost the same-day returns, as the drama averaged only 3.83 million total viewers and a 0.6 in the demo with three days of DVR.”
