A member of an exclusive club as a winner of Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar and Tony awards has signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios. Deadline reports that actress Viola Davis signed the feature production deal through her JuVee Productions banner, which she runs along with actor-producer Julius Tennon.

The report quotes Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke saying: “Amazon Studios is passionate about building a home for both new and established filmmakers of all backgrounds, who share the same vision in telling incredible and engaging human stories. Viola and Julius Tennon’s JuVee Productions brings distinctive, fresh voices and high-quality content to our customers in both theaters and on Prime Video.”

Deadline notes that Davis recently wrapped Amazon Studios’ “Troupe Zero,” also starring Allison Janney and Jim Gaffigan and due to be released next year.

JuVee Productions commented on the deal in a tweet, which you can see below.

  1. Oh no you don’t. The G in EGOT is for Grammy Award, and you substituting in a Golden Globe doesn’t make it legitimate.

  2. Impressive creds, absolutely, but not an EGOT. The “G” represents a Grammy award. EGOT is an acronym for “Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony.” It does not reference the Golden Globe awards.
