‘Game of Thrones’ Reunion Set — But It Won’t Be on HBO

A “Game of Thrones” reunion special is “definitely happening,” EW.com reports, noting that the special was shot in Belfast earlier this year with Conan O’Brien hosting. The production features cast members from the HBO series, including some, such as Sean Bean, who departed the show a while ago.

HBO has confirmed the special, but says it won’t run on the network.

“Instead, we’re told the reunion will be featured exclusively on a new ‘Game of Thrones’ complete series home video box set that will package together seasons 1-8 for the first time,” EW reports. “The box set will be sometime in 2019, albeit obviously after the final season airs.”

The series returns for its final six episodes on HBO starting in April.
