The CW announced orders today for additional episodes of all three of its new fall series, bringing its order for “Charmed” to 22 episodes and orders for “All American” and “Legacies” to 16 episodes each for their first season runs.
“Charmed” received a back nine order, while “All American” and “Legacies” each received orders for three additional episodes.
The broadcast network noted that it has five series on track to premiere in midseason 2019, including “In The Dark” and “Roswell, New Mexico.”
“The CW’s first new series to debut this fall, ‘All American’ (Wednesdays 9:00-10:00pm ET/PT), has earned wide critical acclaim as one of the best new series of the season,” The CW noted in today’s announcement. “The CW’s ‘Charmed’ (Sundays 9:00-10:00pm ET/PT) has gotten off to a strong start, paired with ‘Supergirl’ to successfully launch the network’s new sixth night of primetime programming. ‘Legacies’ (Thursdays 9:00-10:00pm ET/PT) continues a CW tradition by telling the next generation of stories set in the world of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Originals.'”
The announcement adds: “All three of the CW’s new fall series have seen sizable increases once delayed viewing is factored in, especially ‘Charmed,’ which has seen its linear ratings more than double in key demos in Live+7 viewership (+105% in adults 18-34 and +108% in adults 18-49).”
Along with “Roswell, New Mexico” and “In the Dark,” the CW is ready to roll out at midseason the final seasons of “Jane the Virgin” and “iZombie” and the return of “The 100.” Premiere dates for the midseason shows will be announced at a later time.
