Kevin Hart isn’t apologizing, but he has plenty to say after the announcement that he will be hosting the Oscars ceremony sparked a torrent of backlash, much of it focused on his past homophobic messages on social media.
Hart took to Instagram to respond to the criticism with a video and a message admonishing followers to “stop looking for reasons to be negative.”
“I work hard on a daily basis to spread positivity to all,” the comedian wrote, adding: “I’m almost 40 years old and I’m in love with the man that I am becoming. You LIVE and YOU LEARN & YOU GROW & YOU MATURE.”
He closes his message with: “I LOVE EVERYBODY…..ONCE AGAIN EVERYBODY. If you choose to not believe me then that’s on you…..Have a beautiful day.”
