“The Simpsons,” the longest-running prime-time scripted show in television history, is celebrating an anniversary, currently airing its 30th season. In honor of the occasion, FXX announced today that it will air a 15-hour marathon of “Simpsons” episodes curated for the special programming event by executive producer Al Jean.
The marathon is set for Sunday, Dec. 16, beginning at 9 a.m. ET/PT.
Additionally, the Fox broadcast network will feature the first “Simpsons” episode, “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire,” on Sunday, Dec. 23, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
