More Advertisers Cut Ties With Fox News Host

The list of advertisers who are fleeing Tucker Carlson’s Fox News Channel program continues to climb, with Variety reporting that three more have left the show: Samsung, SodaStream and Pfizer Inc.

The latest additions push the list to about 19 advertisers who have cut ties with Carlson over his comments about immigration. As we reported previously, advertisers began bailing out on the show after Carlson made remarks suggesting that immigration is making the country “dirtier.” At the time we ran our story Tuesday, the count had risen to 16 advertisers who were off the show.

“Carlson on Monday reiterated his feelings on the matter, noting he would not be threatened by people who wanted to block him from expressing his opinion,” Variety notes.

The report quotes Carlson saying of an advertiser boycott: “It’s a tactic, a well-worn one. Nobody thinks it’s real. And it won’t work with this show. We’re not intimidated. We plan to try to say what’s true until the last day.”

  1. Complete and utter bs. If you do not like Tucker, then turn the channel. Wack jobs.

    • Ahhh, you don’t recognize the difference between a consumer and an advertiser.

Consumer: I disagree with this person, so I will change the channel. Problem solved.

Advertiser: You see, we can’t afford to be seen to do business with whatever it is you’re accused of being. I’m sure a businessman of your stature will understand.

  2. Handy one stop list of companies never to patronize again.

SodaStream is particularly ironic as they are an Israeli company, and Israel has rather strict immigration rules of their own.

  3. Tune in for the hatred, stay for the resting doofus face.
