ABC Books Sneak Preview of Drama Series to Lead Out From Oscars

Leading out from its broadcast of the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 24, ABC will air a sneak preview of the drama series “Whiskey Cavalier.”

The official series premiere is set for Wednesday, Feb. 27.

“The series follows the adventures of secret agents Will Chase (codename: ‘Whiskey Cavalier’), played by Scott Foley, and Frankie Trowbridge, played by Lauren Cohan, as they lead an inter-agency team of flawed, funny and heroic spies who periodically save the world,” ABC says in today’s announcement.

The series follows the adventures of tough but tender FBI super-agent Will Chase (codename: “Whiskey Cavalier”), played by Scott Foley. Following an emotional breakup, Chase is assigned to work with badass CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (codename: “Fiery Tribune”), played by Lauren Cohan. Together, they lead an inter-agency team of flawed, funny and heroic spies who periodically save the world — and each other — while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics. “Whiskey Cavalier” also stars Ana Ortiz as Susan Sampson, Tyler James Williams as Edgar Standish and Vir Das as Jai Datta.

“Whiskey Cavalier” is a Warner Bros. Television production from writer/executive producer David Hemingson and executive producers Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold (Doozer Productions). Peter Atencio is executive producer and is director on the pilot, and Scott Foley is producer of the series.
