NBC is taking a second pass at a comedy project after the network rejected the pilot it ordered last season. Variety reports that the network ordered a second pilot for the multicamera project “Friends-in-Law.”

“In the series, Brian and Jake are polar opposites who must quickly figure out how to coexist when their respective best friends decide to get married,” Variety reports. “Brian Gallivan is the writer and executive producer with Tom Werner also executive producing. Warner Bros. Television will produce.”

The report notes that the original pilot starred James Davis, Devere Rogers, John Gemberling and Nicole Parker, none of whom are attached to the new pilot.
