A reality show contestant who became a fan favorite during her run on TV has died. TMZ reports that Fatima Ali died after a battle with bone cancer. She was 29.

Ali appeared on season 15 of “Top Chef,” where she was voted fan favorite. The show aired during the 2017-2018 season.

In October 2018, she revealed that her cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma, had returned in her left hip and femur and was terminal. She was reportedly given one year to live.

“Ali — who was very public with her diagnosis and fight — sent a message out to fans a couple weeks ago saying, ‘I know it’s been ages since I posted and most may have figured out why. I’m sick and unfortunately I’m getting sicker. Right now all I need are prayers; prayers that are simple,'” TMZ reports.

She appeared on “Ellen” in November — you can watch the clip below — and host Ellen DeGeneres gave her $50,000 to live out her dream of visiting the world’s best restaurants.

Here’s the clip from “Ellen” documenting Ali’s story …
