The CBS daytime show “The Talk” has named a new full-time host, announcing today on the air that Carrie Ann Inaba has the job. Inaba has appeared as a recurring guest co-host for the past two seasons.

“Everyone’s Talking about it, and I’m excited to confirm it. We’re welcoming Carrie Ann Inaba to ‘The Talk’ table,” said Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS Entertainment. “Carrie Ann connects with audiences by being genuine. We appreciate her warmth, heart and vulnerability, and love what she brings to the show.”

Julie Chen, the wife of former CBS Corp. Chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves, was a fixture on “The Talk” as one of the show’s co-hosts before she stepped down last year amid her husband’s problems with sexual misbehavior allegations. Moonves exited the company in September 2018. Chen remains the host of CBS’s “Big Brother.”
