Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, two stars of the Golden Globe-winning Netflix comedy “The Kominsky Method,” appear hard-pressed to explain what’s so funny about the show in a video announcing plans for the show’s second season.

Season 1, which premiered on Netflix in November, marked the first time Douglas and Arkin had worked together. The show won two Golden Globes — for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy, and Best Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy for Douglas.

Netflix announced that the show has been picked up for a second season, which begins production this month in Los Angeles and will consist of eight episodes. Along with Douglas and Arkin, Sarah Baker and Nancy Travis return as series regulars.
