In a special that will be simulcast on HBO and OWN in connection with HBO’s premiere of its controversial documentary “Leaving Neverland,” Oprah Winfrey will interview two men who accuse Michael Jackson of abusing them as children.
HBO announced plans today for “Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland,” which will premiere March 4 on HBO and OWN. Winfrey will sit down with James Safechuck and Wade Robson, the two men whose stories are at the heart of “Leaving Neverland.”
Both men say Jackson sexually abused them as children. The documentary has become a point of contention between HBO and the family of Michael Jackson.
“Leaving Neverland” premieres in two parts on HBO, on Sunday, March 3, and Monday, March 4. Director Dan Reed will also take part in Oprah’s special, which was taped before an audience of survivors of sexual abuse.
The airing of the special will immediately follow the conclusion of part two of “Leaving Neverland” on HBO.
