A new project in the works at ABC offers an intriguing take on the Bermuda Triangle mystery. Deadline reports that the drama pilot “Triangle,” which just cast Lorenzo Richelmy in a lead role opposite Mike Vogel, “poses the question: What if the Bermuda Triangle was not a watery grave in the middle of the ocean but a land lost in time that has trapped travelers over the course of human history?”
The report adds: “When a family is shipwrecked in this strange land, they must band together with a group of like-minded inhabitants — from throughout history — to survive and somehow find a way home.”
The project comes from Jon Feldman and Jennifer Gwartz’s Random Hill and ABC Studios. Richelmy recently starred in the Netflix series “Marco Polo.”
It’s been done before. Anyone else remember “The Fantastic Journey”, a short-lived science fiction show from 1977?
One of the reasons Fantastic Journey didn’t last is, like many shows (Designated Survivor), there isn’t enough of a story to support a second season.
