In a bit taped for CBS’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” the talk show host got under the skin of soccer legend David Beckham with a prank that produced more than its share of desired awkward moments.

Beckham was about to be honored with a statue by his former team, the Los Angeles Galaxy, but Corden arranged to substitute a modified version of the statue that was considerably less flattering to the former soccer star.
