A new drama series from Academy Award nominee and multiple Emmy winner Ava DuVernay just received a straight-to-series order from OWN.

The channel announced plans today for the anthology drama “Cherish the Day,” from Warner Horizon Scripted Television. Oprah Winfrey will executive produce along with DuVernay, with Tanya Hamilton set as executive producer and showrunner and Paul Garnes also to executive produce.

“Each season, the anthology series chronicles the stirring romance of one couple, with each episode spanning a single day,” OWN says in the announcement.
