CBS Tweaks Prime-Time Lineup After Show’s Soft Ratings

CBS is moving around some of its prime-time programming following a couple of soft ratings results for the new show “Million Dollar Mile.” Variety reports that the LeBron James-produced competition program, which has aired just two episodes, is leaving its Wednesday night slot and is being shuffled off to Saturdays.

“The move comes after the show has posted lackluster ratings so far, with a soft 1.0 rating debut in the key 18-49 demographic and 4.1 million viewers, which then dipped to a 0.8 rating and 3.4 million viewers for the second episode,” Variety reports. “Beginning May 4, it will air the rest of its season on Saturdays at 8 p.m.”

To help take up the slack, CBS is also moving up the premiere of the upcoming season of “The Amazing Race” by more than a month, Variety reports.

“’Amazing Race’ will usurp the ‘Million Dollar Mile’ Wednesday time slot and will now premiere on April 17,” Variety reports, noting that “Race” was previously scheduled for a May 22 premiere.
