Fox News Host Under Fire Over On-Air Comments

A Fox News host has come under fire for comments that offended a number of viewers, including high-profile rappers Snoop Dogg, T.I. and the Game, along with the R&B artist Tank.

Variety reports that Fox’s Laura Ingraham, who’s no stranger to controversy, is the focus of outrage for comments about slain rapper Nipsey Hussle, with some on social media calling for her firing.

“Ingraham mocked YG’s 2016 song ‘FDT,’ featuring Hussle, on her show ‘The Ingraham Angle,'” Variety reports. “The song includes the chorus, ‘F— Donald Trump.’”

The report quotes Ingraham saying on Friday’s show, one day after a memorial for Hussle in Los Angeles: “Okay, that’s a very creative refrain. The chorus that goes on and on, is that related to lowest unemployment ever, basically, for African Americans?”

Variety adds: “After the program, Tank posted a photo on Instagram, saying, ‘Fire Laura Ingraham,’ to which others added commentary of their own, with countless musicians asking for her ouster.”

The report quotes an Instagram post from the Game that says: “So lemme tell you what’s going to happen here…. @foxnews fires this disrespectful c— by tomorrow, Monday morning or you will lose millions of viewers one person at a time until it drastically effects your ratings, views etc. Nips passing nor his legacy is to be taken lightly as there will be consequences for any disrespect now or in the future as long as I have a voice.”

Tank added in an Instagram post: “Disrespecting the deceased is not news! It’s just disrespect.”

The report notes that Ingraham has not apologized for her remarks.

  1. Yes, because millions of people across America will stop watching Fox News because someone believes she made negative comments about some rapper they have never heard of and some R&B singer they’ve also never heard of is upset and calls the host an expletive.

    Sure, that’ll happen.

Leave it to TV Week to report on the Fox News “controversy” of the week, though.

  2. Bill Butler!!! Nice to hear from you!

  3. Fuck Laura.

  4. Thane, please keep your sexual fantasies to yourself

  5. How many commentators would still be on television or on the editorial pages if there was a group of people that disagreed with them. That is what commentary is about. If Trump got his base demanding all liberal commentators be fired it would be as ridiculous as this demand. If the rappers want to attack someone they should look at themselves and the offensive, sexist and racist language that is used in their music; as well as the misogyny that it promotes.

  6. This whole story is ridiculous

  7. never given a damn about filthy rappers
