In a strange incident that was caught on video, actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was attacked during a public appearance Saturday in South Africa by a man who suddenly flew at him and kicked him in his back.

The AP reports that Schwarzenegger, 71, quickly recovered and later quipped, “I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”

Schwarzenegger can be seen in the video, which you can see below, filming children at a sports event in Johannesburg when the man makes a flying kick to his back. The man is quickly subdued by security.

Off camera a man can be heard shouting “Help me!”

Schwarzenegger is later seen smiling and shaking hands with bystanders before being escorted out.

Schwarzenegger later posted on Twitter: “Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”

The incident apparently took place while Schwarzenegger was attending his Arnold Classic Africa event.
