CBS has picked up seven new series, ordering four comedies and three dramas, according to media reports.
The network ordered the comedies “Carol’s Second Act,” starring Patricia Heaton; “Bob Hearts Abishola,” from Chuck Lorre; “Broke,” starring Jaime Camil and Pauley Perrette; and “The Unicorn,” from Bill Martin and Mike Schiff.
On the drama side, the network picked up the Dick Wolf spinoff “FBI: Most Wanted”; the legal drama “All Rise”; and the supernatural series “Evil,” from Michelle and Robert King.
“‘The Good Wife’ creators Robert and Michelle King, who have two premium series, ‘The Good Fight’ on CBS All Access and the upcoming ‘Your Honor’ on Showtime, are making a broadcast return with ‘Evil,’ which everyone has been raving about,” Nellie Andreeva reports on Deadline. “No exact episode count has been announced but the drama is believed to be designed for shorter orders.”
