A prime-time drama series will have a new showrunner for its next season, with the show’s co-creator stepping down. Deadline reports that the change is taking place at the CW’s “Dynasty” as it approaches its third season.
“Sallie Patrick, who developed the reboot of the classic 1980s prime-time soap with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, is stepping down as showrunner, a position she has held from the start,” Deadline reports. “Veteran Josh Reims, who joined ‘Dynasty’ as co-executive producer at the beginning of Season 2, has been upped to exec producer and named new showrunner.”
Patrick will reportedly remain an executive producer on the series. She has renewed her overall deal with CBS TV Studios, which produces the series, and will focus on development, Deadline reports.
