Faith, Family, Creativity and the E Street Band: A Conversation Between Bruce Springsteen and Martin Scorsese

E Street Band fans will rejoice in the news Bruce Springsteen broke in a candid conversation with Martin Scorsese Sunday night that kicked off Netflix’s series of Emmy FYC events on a soundstage at Hollywood’s Raleigh Studios.

Toward the end of the intimate conversation between the two men, which touched on big topics such as faith, family and creativity, Springsteen dropped this bombshell: “A month ago, I wrote about an hour’s worth of material for the band. It came out of nowhere. But I knew I had to capture a piece of the divine.”

That means the Boss, who has been mainly in solo acoustic mode for some time now with his Broadway show, should be back on the road soon with the full E Street Band.

TVWeek Open Mic writer Hillary Atkin was a witness to this remarkable conversation between Springsteen and Scorsese. Please click here to read her full report.
