Fox Announces Prime-Time Schedule for 2019-2020 Season, Plans to Unveil Ambitious Lineup of New Shows

The Fox Network revealed today that it has an ambitious lineup of new programs waiting to be unveiled during the 2019-2020 broadcast season. Three of those shows — the dramas “Prodigal Son” and “Not Just Me” and the comedy series “Bless the Harts” — are already slotted into the fall schedule.

In all, four new comedies and six new dramas are set to join the Fox lineup during the course of the season.

“The Resident” moves for fall to Tuesdays, where it will be followed by the sixth and final season of “Empire.”

The first “9-1-1” spinoff, “9-1-1: Lone Star,” starring Rob Lowe, will launch with a two-night premiere event, starting Jan. 19 after the NFC Championship Game and continuing Monday, Jan. 20.

Season three of “The Masked Singer” will launch following Super Bowl LIV on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Also launching midseason are the new police drama “Deputy,” starring Stephen Dorff; the Southern gothic family drama “Filthy Rich,” starring Kim Cattrall; the thriller “neXt,” starring John Slattery; the family comedy “Outmatched,” starring Jason Biggs and Maggie Lawson; the animated comedies “Duncanville” and “The Great North”; and the unscripted “Ultimate Tag,” hosted by J.J. Watt, T.J. Watt and Derek Watt.
