“Jeopardy!” record holder Ken Jennings, who has been tracking the show’s new kingpin James Holzhauer as he closes in on Jennings’ all-time record winnings of $2,520,700, talked about Holzhauer’s impressive “Jeopardy!” run during an appearance Tuesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
While Jennings says he’s excited about the possibility that Holzhauer might break his record from 2004, there is one thing about the Holzhauer phenomenon that bothers him.
“You know what bothers me is when I hear people say ‘Jeopardy James,'” he said, adding: ‘I’m that guy. You can’t put ‘Jeopardy!’ in front of his name. I used to be the ‘Jeopardy!’ guy.”
